Staying hydrated is an important job in this summer heat. But if we’re being honest, sometimes plain, old water gets a little boring.
Trader Joe’s is one of my favorite stores, and they have a wide variety of drink options to keep things interesting. Our family favorites that keep our taste buds happy, with suggestions for making them into adult beverages if you so desire. And the 5 best drinks at Trader Joe’s are:
1. Sparkling Water – Add Your Own Fruit
While plan water doesn’t always cut it for me, the fact remains that water is the best for your body. These Trader Joe’s flavored sparkling waters are awesome. They have no sweeteners and no calories. The ingredients are just. And at $0.79 per bottle, they’re affordable.
I love putting in fruit to match the flavor – lemon, orange, lime or raspberry lime.

Grown-up twist: Add a shot of flavored vodka. According to FitDay.com, this is one of the healthiest alcoholic drinks. Cheers!
2. French Market Sparkling Anything.
The French Market line of sparkling makes us all happy. You can get pink lemonade, berry lemonade, and limeade. They’re all delicious, and you can’t go wrong. Again, adding a garnish of the accompanying fruit ups the special factor.
3. Pomegranate Limeade
This is So. Good. Really. It’s sweetened with real cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. Granted, it’s not a health drink, but is a party in your mouth. Even the folks at What’s Good at Trader Joe’s agree with me, rating it 5 out of 5 stars. The high praise is deserved.
Grown-up twist: Use it to make a pomegranate margarita – get the super simple recipe here.
4. Arnold Palmer
I was born on Arnold Palmer’s birthday, so it seemed only right to include this mixture of tea and lemonade. I don’t always go for Arnold’s eponymous drink, but this one was tasty and definite a bit sweet.
Grown-up twist: Did you know that the drink called a John Daly is an Arnold Palmer with vodka? This is quite nice with a shot of Smirnoff Citrus vodka (or really any other lemon-ish vodka).
5. Wine
Trader Joe’s made a name for itself with Two Buck Chuck, or now Three Buck Chuck. It is the place for cheap wine. Hooray! A friend introduced me to this Contadino Pinot Grigio five summers ago and it’s been my go-to warm weather wine ever since. It’s light and fruity and not too heavy.
What are your favorite fun drinks?
Note: This is not a sponsored post. I received nothing from Trader Joe’s for writing this post, or for anything, actually. I’m pretty sure the only at Trader Joe’s who know I exist are the checkout people who ring up all these drinks. Cheers!
