The start of school always felt more like the beginning of a new year to me than January 1. I think I’ve always been a bit more tied to the academic calendar, and that’s certainly true as a parent. Turns out, I have great company and The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids 2015 will be released on September 16, 2014.
I have referred to The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids as my Disney Bible. I don’t make a trek without consulting it.
It was a thrill to interact with Liliane J. Opsomer, one of the authors. I was a bit starstruck. I am most grateful not only for the Disney knowledge that she shares (I mean, who doesn’t want to be the person who wrote the book on Disney World?) but also the very practical, manageable and enjoyable way she approaches family vacation in general.
The good advice in The Unofficial Guide has helped us make the most of every second and dollar we had when visiting Disney World.
One of my favorite pieces of wisdom that Liliane Opsomer shared with me: “Our research shows that what kids remember most from their vacation is the fun they had at the pool of their hotel!”
“I love taking time to enjoy the resorts, especially if on property. Some are more elaborate than others but kids will love playing all day long at Disney’s newest value resort, the Art of Animation.”
She also emphasized that when it comes to Disney, the early bird gets the worm pixie dust. “I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to arrive early at the parks,” she said.
This book is a must have for those planning a trip to Disney World with little (or bigger) ones, and two lucky readers will each win a copy of The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids 2015 signed by authors Liliane J. Opsomer and Bob Sehlinger. Enter below. Best of luck!
