National S’mores Day is August 10th. The combination of marshmallow, chocolate and graham crackers is a summer taste treat. It’s amazing how many smiles and happy memories come from just three simple ingredients.
The first official s’mores recipe was published in the Girl Scout Handbook in 1927, though historians believe people were assembling s’mores years
before that. Here’s a round up of more modern s’mores recipes and s’more flavored treats of all kinds, from cakes to bars to pops to ice cream.

If you are short on time but long on s’mores craving, just go for the microwave. You’ve got to love something that involves watching a marshmallow grow ginormous and that saves time. 🙂 Or pick up a pint of Ben & Jerry’s S’mores Ice Cream. No judgment here, friends. I respect the consumption of chocolate, graham cracker and marshmallow, however you choose to do so.
