I love the Madagascar movies and characters. At this very moment, I have “I like to move it, move it” going through my head. Thankfully, there’s a lot more fun to be had because starting Dec. 19, the first five episodes of All Hail King Julien, a totally original, totally hilarious and totally insane new series featuring the voice of Andy Richter, will arrive on Netflix.
Who doesn’t want to watch King Julien, one of my very favorite characters from the Madagascar franchise, embark on crazy adventures in the jungle with his loyal sidekicks Maurice and Mort plus a whole new cast of colorful animals?
If you are like me, however, and feel a little impatient at the idea of waiting two weeks, I may be able to help you out if you live in Chicago. Netflix is hosting a gathering to give folks a sneak peak at the first two episodes of All Hail King Julien this Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Logan Theater, 2646 N. Milwaukee. The event is invite only, but you can win a chance to attend with this giveaway below.
The lucky winner and lucky winner’s fabulous family will not only get to check out the first episodes and laugh themselves silly, but they will also get to create crowns fit for a king, learn King Julien’s signature dance and pose Hollywood style with the King himself. (I’m expecting pictures, people, lots of great pictures because that little fun-loving ring-tailed lemur has some serious moves.)
