I thought about signing my kiddo up for cooking camp. I found a camp for her age group and got excited, until I saw the price. Yikes. We decided that we could buy a ton of ingredients for a fraction of the price of cooking camp, and have a lot of fun getting culinary and creative together.
Thankfully, the folks at Disney-Pixar are fans of playing with your food and having fun in the kitchen, because they have some awesome Finding Dory recipes, or at rather, recipes inspired by some of our favorite characters from Finding Dory.
My whole family loved the movie so of course we are excited to try out these Finding Dory recipes.
Summer and smoothies go hand in hand, and I love that these pack a nutritional punch, too.
A breakfast quesadilla that resembles our favorite forgetful fish? Yes, please!
My daughter loves turtles. In fact, they’re her favorite animals. This absolutely adorable take on stuffed peppers makes a great option for Meatless Monday. Also, hooray for not having to turn on the oven! As Crush would say, “Dude!”
Finally, these popsicles may be my favorite recipe That’s probably because it’s hot here. Really hot. Additionally, our air conditioning is out until Wednesday, so you can bet your bottom dollar that we’ll be making lots of these to get through this heat wave.
I love that these Finding Dory recipes are healthy as well as fun – it’s a great lesson for my young chef to learn that food doesn’t have to be bad for you to be enjoyable.
