I’m especially partial to the Disney song “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from Cinderella. Both the music and lyrics are so very beautiful. I’ve always loved how Disney uses music to tell its story, and I’m going to take the liberty of using those song lyrics to tell my latest story, one with a happy ending.

I think a majority of parents do a great job of encouraging their children to not only dream, but to dream big and to reach for the stars. Hearing our children’s imagination-fueled aspirations is one of the best parts of parenting. Adults need to have dreams, too, though I think it’s a little too easy to lose sight of them among the mounds of laundry and piles of school papers and the frenzy of hectic schedules.
I admit that I’ve done just that, and on more than one occasion. I’ve tried to remedy that by getting better at setting goals, and big ones. Ones that seem a bit beyond my reach. And one such dream of mine is the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration.
“Have faith in your dreams and someday / Your rainbow will come smiling through”
So what is the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration? Your answer, straight from Micky Mouse himself the conference website:
Disney Social Media Moms Celebration is an invitation only conference for social media minded moms and dads. This professional conference takes place each spring at Disney Parks.
The Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was created as one of the first family-friendly conferences where social media savvy moms and dads can network, learn, and share knowledge of social media while experiencing the magic of Disney with their families. Our goal is to provide an intimate experience packed with access to industry leaders and opportunities to network with peers.
Sounds pretty fabulous to me.

I’m pretty certain my Fairy Godmother was looking out for me because not long after I received this email:
In that moment, I had an idea of how Cinderella felt to be invited to the ball: a little disbelieving, a whole lot of excited and incredibly full of gratitude for good fortune. There is something magical about the words “You’re Invited,” isn’t there?
“No matter your heart is grieving / If you keep on believing / The dream that you wish will come true”
This big dream came true, and I’m so incredibly glad that it did and thankful to those who included me. I’m so excited to see what the conference in May brings. Attendees and families who can attend will be staying at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.
Beautiful, isn’t it? I think it is the perfect setting, and it adjoins the Beach Club, and they share Stormalong Bay, a truly incredible pool complex.
