Today I’m over at Chicago Parent talking about the Disney Social Media Moms On the Road event in Chicago earlier this week. There were lots of fun surprises, as one expects with Disney.
One of the most interesting surprises to me, however, wasn’t a thing. Rather, it was the wisdom that the speakers shared, and the fact that their excellent business advice also makes great parenting advice.
The event featured speakers and interactive sessions “designed to support the goals and lifestyle challenges faced by mom business owners” but as they talked, I thought “You know, that would be good to remember when talking to Meg.” And “I should do that both with my writing and my parenting.”
My favorite advice: Have a clear, succinct message, deliver it & stop talking.
And in the article I explain just how the advice “building relationships makes a difference, but to do that you have to manage the micro-interactions” perfectly applies to parenting.
Check out that and the rest of the great advice over at Chicago Parent.
