I hope you remember that it doesn’t have to be perfect to be special.<\/p>\n
I hope that at the end of the day you have a full tummy and full heart. But if your celebration does not resemble a Norman\u00a0Rockwell<\/span> painting, please know that you’re not alone.<\/p>\n I wish I had words of wisdom that would ease heartache and\/or disappointment for whom this is a tough time.<\/p>\n I’m afraid I don’t know how to make it easier for you, but here’s what I do know:<\/p>\n People are complicated.<\/p>\n Families are messy.<\/p>\n Holidays can be hard.<\/p>\n It’s okay to be sad.<\/p>\n You are not alone.<\/p>\n Tomorrow is another day.<\/p>\n I love what Caroline Kennedy says about Christmas memories and how sometimes the remembrances of the less-than-perfect occasions can be part of the glue that holds people together.<\/p>\n Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!<\/p>\n Don\u2019t miss a post!
