Yesterday, American skier Robby Kelley crashed just five gates shy of\u00a0the finish line in the\u00a0Schladming Night Race at the Alpine Skiing World Cup\u00a0in Austria. However, he didn’t let that crash stop him from finishing the race. He walked back up the hill to where he fell and finished the race as the crowd went wild.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\nThe best part of the story, in my mind, is the reason Kelley, age 26, gave for why he hiked back up the hill.<\/p>\n“My parents told me to never give up, so I wanted to cross that finish line,” Kelley said in comments relayed by the U.S. Ski Team and included in this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/thetwo-way\/2017\/01\/25\/511581258\/u-s-skier-wins-the-crowd-even-as-he-loses-the-race-in-austria\" target=\"_blank\">NPR article<\/a>.<\/p>\nTurns out that kids do sometimes listen!
