When visiting Walt Disney World, I think hitting Epcot is a must and that’s in large part because I love traveling around the world by visiting the 11 different country pavilions\u00a0 in the World Showcase. The other half of Ecpot is Future World, which is great, too, but I think the World Showcase is even more fun. Where else can you visit a German beer garden, see Chinese drummers, and check out a Mayan pyramid in one afternoon?<\/p>\n

But what is the best country in Epcot? While the answer differs for everyone, I’m ready to declare my allegiance.<\/p>\n

I’ve said that France may have my heart in the morning for breakfast, but overall, my favorite country in Epcot is the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

I have fought this for years and several visits, but on the last trip, I finally gave in and am willing to admit that I love the UK pavilion. It feels a little wrong to not be learning a new language or learning about a country that’s more exotic and harder to get to, like Morocco, but there are so many great things about visiting the UK in Epcot<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\nThe UK is the only country in Epcot where you can meet three characters. And you can greet Winnie the Pooh and Tigger in Christopher Robin’s bedroom! (You can find times <a href=\"https:\/\/disneyworld.disney.go.com\/entertainment\/epcot\/character-meet-winnie-tigger-uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.) It is very cool, and it’s just your party in the room, so it feels like a far more private meeting than any other character encounter. And if it rains, there’s a little spot inside where Mary Poppins can greet guests, nice, dry and spit spot.<\/p>\nThrow in the entire wall of gorgeous Downtown Abbey jewelry, quotes from Hamlet in the Shakespeare Garden and a cider & black (cider with a shot of black currant juice – it’s SO good) in the <a href=\"https:\/\/disneyworld.disney.go.com\/dining\/epcot\/rose-and-crown-pub-and-dining-room\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rose & Crown Pub<\/a>, and I’m ready to wave the Union Jack. Forget the fact that we fought a bloody war to be independent from the crown. This is awesome!<a href=\"http:\/\/momfactually.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/United-Kingdom-favorite-country-in-Epcot.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-2522\" src=\"http:\/\/betweenusparents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/United-Kingdom-favorite-country-in-Epcot-490x700.jpg\" alt=\"United Kingdom favorite country in Epcot\" width=\"490\" height=\"700\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\nIf you are visiting during the Flower & Garden Show, the Twinings Tea Garden Tour is a lovely way for interested grown-ups to spend 2o minutes. The good news: it’s free, and you even get some free samples! The bad news: it’s probably not all that enjoyable for kids. Tour sign up is inside The Tea Caddy and it’s best to sign up early – the tours do fill up.<\/p>\nThere are lots of cute nooks and crannies in the U.K. pavilion where you can find a wee bit of peace and quiet, even on a busy day, which also made me happy.
