Today I’m over at Chicago Parent <\/a>talking about the Disney Social Media Moms On the Road event in Chicago earlier this week.\u00a0 There were lots of fun surprises, as one expects with Disney. <\/p>\n

One of the most interesting surprises to me, however, wasn’t a thing. Rather, it was the wisdom that the speakers shared, and the fact that their excellent business advice also makes great parenting advice.<\/p>\n

The event featured speakers and interactive sessions “designed to support the goals and lifestyle challenges faced by mom business owners” but as they talked, I thought “You know, that would be good to remember when talking to Meg.” And “I should do that both with my writing and my parenting.”<\/p>\n

My favorite advice: Have a clear, succinct message, deliver it & stop talking.<\/p>\n

And in the article I explain just how the advice “building relationships makes a difference, but to do that you have to manage the micro-interactions” perfectly applies to parenting.<\/p>\n
