In exchange for a conference fee, we were provided with park tickets, hotel accommodations, meals, and admission to conference events. I was not asked to write about the conference or sponsors in exchange for our experience, nor was I compensated, my thoughts/opinions/fashion choices are 100% my own.

When people heard that I was invited to the Disney Social Moms Celebration, “What are you going to wear?” was one of the most common questions I got prior to our departure. So, here’s my post sharing what I wore to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration.

I confess that I took more clothes for this trip than any other one in recent memory. It’s a good thing American Tourister sent a new iLite Extreme suitcase (the one in the middle) we needed it. Okay, fine, I needed it. I took far more clothes than usual, because this was an extra special event.

IMG_7967I’m not a fashion blogger, but I know that I enjoyed seeing what other conference attendees wore in prior years and found it helpful when I was packing, so I wanted to share what I wore. Be advised, I’m a dress girl. I love them, and wore a lot of them but be assured that the shorts and pants wearing attendees had an equally great time.

The Disney Social Moms Celebration 2015 started off with a bang. Mickey was greeting attendees as we registered at the Conference Center at the Yacht Club Resort.

What I wore to Disney Social Media Moms CelebrationI was doing a wee bit of DisneyBounding with a black dress, yellow Keds and red and white polka dot scarf, all a nod to Minnie Mouse. After the registration we went straight to the for the Creativity and You Welcome Family Dinner sponsored by Disney Citizenship, which was a ton of fun and I stayed with this outfit.

We had been advised to wear comfortable shoes as we’d be doing some walking, and I was glad I went with the Keds. loved how this skirt twirled when I got a chance to dance with Sorcerer Mickey, which you can see 35 seconds into this video:

Friday

For the General Session, I felt a bit like I was Cinderella getting to attend the ball, so I decided to go with the Cinderella theme. I opted for a light blue dress from Stitch Fix, headband, and Cinderella’s carriage necklace that holds the pearl I picked at the Japan Pavilion in Epcot. I had a white sweater with me for the conference room in case the air conditioning was on full blast, but I really didn’t need it.

You can read more about the General Session and what we learned, as well as see what some of the presenters wore, here.

That afternoon, we had our choice of meeting Elsa and Anna, or meeting Olaf. I let my tween daughter pick and it should no surprise that she picked Olaf. Olaf! THE Olaf from Frozen! And yes, he did like warm hugs. For that I wore a coral maxi dress from Ann Taylor Loft. I loved the color and it was so comfortable.

I kept it on for Mickey’s Beach Bash which was a family dinner on the beach in front of the Beach Club Resort. I thought our little family cleaned up pretty nicely, especially because my husband and daughter packed in a full day at the Magic Kingdom prior to dinner.

Saturday

We were up bright and early for a chance to check out a ride before the parks opened. We got to ride Dumbo, and you can check out the t-shirt and short combos we opted for in this video of our chance to soar on everyone’s favorite elephant:

We didn’t have an event that evening but a change of clothes was necessary for dinner after such a hot day in the sun. I love staying at the Beach Club because it’s so close to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, making quick changes entirely feasible. I went with a casual navy dress with the comfy Croc sandals that don’t look like Crocs at all and this hat that called my name at Target.

Sunday was Mother’s Day, and the last day of the conference. We all enjoyed a very special breakfast sponsored by Disney Imagicademy. My turquoise dress with the gold accessories is a nod to Jasmine.

I even got a chance to grab a quick photo with the amazing Leanne O’Regan, Director of Social Media, Disney Parks, and head of the amazing Disney team who put on this amazing event.

DSCN0111Our plan was to go straight from the breakfast to the Disney parks, so I opted for a loose cotton dress that had a cardigan to go with it but that I could shed when we were having fun in the 95 degree heat that day. So hot, but so much fun.

I got a little wet completely drenched on the Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom so I had to recycle an outfit, but it turns out that what I wore on Friday nicely matched the Mayor of Main Street at the Magic Kingdom.

If you’re wondering what I wore for Disney Social Media Moms Celebration on the Road in Chicago 2014 to this conference, it was another Stitch Fix dress with navy, white and green color blocking.
