This was a long, hard winter for a lot of us but I dare say that I think it is on its way out. It looks like spring is really here and I couldn’t be happier about that fact – spring makes everything seem better and brighter. I have a long list of items I’ve seen far too little of the past several months and need more of this spring, including warm temperatures, green grass, bright colors, and good friends.

Thankfully, I’ll get more of the last two this coming weekend when we are attending surprise birthday party for a neighbor – an adult, even. Best of all, the party has an 80’s theme. I’m sure it’ll be rad. (See what I did there? To clarify, I do not use “rad” frequently, although I’m guilty of saying “dude” more often than I should.) I’m planning to wear something fun for several reasons:

1. I don’t have to wear 10 million layers any more!

2. My clothes that are not heavy sweaters miss me. (Okay, fine, it’s me who misses them.)

3. You can’t really Walk Like an Egyptian or properly Wang Chung in something drab.

80’s fashion is too fun to pass up, and it is all about bright colors. Really bright.  To get my clothes party ready, I’m relying on Persil ProClean laundry detergent to perk up my clothes and make the colors pop, just like I like plan to pop the collar on the Izod I have for my husband to wear.

I like to have fun anywhere I can, including my laundry room, as you can see from what I’ve put on the wall in it.

I used all three kinds and liked them equally. The Persil Power-Pearls were especially good, though, at bringing my family’s dingy whites back to life, in addition to making my colors bright enough for the 80’s bash.
