I love the idea of edible gifts. It’s a great way to give something fun, and not adding to the clutter is a gift in and of itself, too. For me, it’s also a way to carry on a family tradition. My grandmother used to send my family petit fours every holiday and it was an annual tradition.

Fact-loving girl that I am, I loved that It’s a Bundt features a page on their website dedicated to the history of the bundt cake, including that the name comes from the German  word bundkuchen, which comes from wrapping or bundling the cake together around the hole in the pan, and also because bund was a gathering of people.

Whether you’re able to gather with the people you love this holiday in person or in spirit, show them you have a sweet spot for them with a sweet bundt cake.

Cakes from It’s a Bundt will be a holiday party in your mouth. They’re so good, and they come in a variety of really fun flavors, like Drunken Monkey, which features banana, rum, and walnuts, and Caribbean Sunrise, which marries the flavors of orange, guava, and rum.

Lest you think I’m only a rum cake fan, Red Velvet is a good option as well, especially this time of year. I’m also wanting to try Gaeilge Cream which is Irish cream and golden  If you’re feeling traditional, the luscious chocolate had my daughter exclaiming, “This is amazing!”

Consider this recipe in Epicurious for a gingerbread bundt cake from the New York City’s Gramercy Tavern. Follow It’s a Bundt’s example and wrap a pretty ribbon around the top of the cake for beautiful presentation.
